Report: LeBron James Left LaMelo Ball vs Zion Williamson Due to Security Concern

After planning to attend the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships game between LaMelo Ball’s Big Baller Brand and Zion Williamson’s SC Supreme in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James reportedly opted against it due to security concerns.

According to’s Myron Medcalf, James arrived at the venue with several people and planned to watch courtside, but overcrowding and the threat of the game not even being played due to how packed it was led to LeBron’s decision.

Medcalf added that a law enforcement official said the game was “way oversold.” Event organizer Chris Rivers said police cleared the game to be played just one minute before tipoff.

LaVar Ball was unconcerned with LeBron’s absence, saying: “He’s not the biggest player to me. The biggest players to me are my boys. I don’t care about no LeBron. LeBron do his thing, I just worry about my boys. I don’t worry about all that other stuff.”

James was previously 76ers” target=”_blank”>seen sitting courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers summer-league game in Las Vegas, which further fueled speculation he could join Lonzo Ball and the Lakers next offseason.

Despite the losing effort, Ball led the way for BBB with 31 points of his own.
