According to TMZ Sports, Gibson was pulled over after making an illegal U-turn, at which point police noticed his license had been suspended.
Gibson was released from police custody shortly after he was booked for misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
He is reportedly scheduled to make a court appearance Sept. 1.
On July 2, Gibson agreed to terms on a two-year, $28 million deal to join the Timberwolves, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania.
